Market Development & Sales Support Specialist - Los Angeles

Hi! We’re an industry-changing, no-waste plant-based food-tech startup on a rapid growth trajectory, looking for an energetic and organized professional to help expand our presence in specialty coffee shops. Our innovative machines make fresh plant-based milks and lattes directly in cafés, smoothie shops, and matcha bars across the U.S. We’re passionate about creating better-tasting plant-based food without gums or fillers while dramatically reducing packaging waste.

We’re hiring a Market Development & Sales Support Specialist to support our growing café network in Los Angeles. This hybrid role combines field support, operations, and market development, helping install machines, support café partners, and introduce new businesses to the Numilk system.

Job Responsibilities:

Café Partner Support

●      Assist with machine installations at new café locations

●      Support troubleshooting and basic machine education for café staff

●      Coordinate service visits, plumbers, and installation logistics

●      Help manage local inventory and storage

●      Assist with occasional product deliveries or shipments

Sales & Account Support

●      Help onboard new café partners

●      Assist with account setup and administrative tasks

●      Support customer service and issue resolution

●      Help maintain CRM records and account tracking

Market Development

●      Visit cafés across Los Angeles and build relationships

●      Introduce our product to potential new café partners

●      Help coordinate demos and product tastings

●      Assist with sample drops and outreach to local coffee shops

The Ideal Candidate:

●      Has barista, café, or hospitality experience

●      Is interested in sales, startups, or food technology

●      Enjoys building relationships with local businesses

●      Is comfortable working independently and managing their schedule

●      Is organized, proactive, and detail-oriented

●      Brings a positive, collaborative, and growth-oriented mindset

●      Has a team-first mentality and enjoys working in a fast-moving startup environment

Bonus if you:

●      Barista experience or familiarity with café workflows

●      Experience with coffee equipment or beverage programs

●      Previous exposure to startups or early-stage companies

●      Interest in plant-based food innovation and sustainability

Requirements:

●      1–3+ years of experience in coffee, hospitality, foodservice, or customer-facing roles

●      Strong communication and relationship-building skills

●      Ability to work independently in a field-based role

●      Comfortable learning equipment and performing basic troubleshooting

●      Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and CRM tools

●      Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

●      Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required

●      Willingness to travel locally (approximately 75% field-based work)

Compensation   $50,000 - $80,000 per year

Total compensation package includes commission, equity, performance bonuses, benefits, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement.
