Speedwell Coffee is a well established, wholesale focused, specialty coffee roaster located in Plymouth, on the beautiful south shore of Massachusetts. We are looking for our next Head Roaster to join our close knit team, and lead our production team as we continually strive to improve process and quality. The Head Roaster plays a pivotal role in Speedwell Coffee’s production team. The Head Roaster will participate and coordinate daily production, have significant influence over key coffee decisions, and maintain and manage profile and quality control standards.
Summary of duties and responsibilities:
Daily roasting responsibilities on Loring S35 and Diedrich IR-25 roasters to meet order demand.
Sample roasting and evaluation.
Coffee profile development with the ability to make adjustments as needed.
Monitor and help project green coffee inventory.
Maintain a consistently high level of communication with the team members.
