Head Barista

Stone Street Coffee is looking for an experienced Head Barista to join our team at our Broome Street location in Manhattan.
We are looking for someone who has experience working in a high-volume coffee shop and, most importantly, knows how to run a strong and organized operation. This is a hands-on position behind the bar, but we want someone who can also see the bigger picture: keeping the station running smoothly, maintaining standards, supporting the team, and being able to troubleshoot problems when they come up.
You should be very organized, reliable, comfortable taking responsibility, and able to stay calm and efficient during busy service. Strong coffee knowledge and barista experience are important, but we are equally interested in someone who understands operations and knows how to lead by example.
The role will also have the opportunity to learn and take ownership of some administrative responsibilities related specifically to the barista station, including barista scheduling, ordering, inventory, organization, and maintaining operating standards. We don’t expect you to know everything from day one, we are looking for someone who wants to learn and grow into the position.
This is a full-time, hourly position + tips based at 379 Broome Street in Manhattan. We offer free staff meals, a great team environment, and real opportunities to grow within Stone Street.
We are currently growing the company, with a new coffee shop coming to Brooklyn and additional locations in the pipeline. We are especially interested in people who don’t just want another barista job, but who are curious about the bigger picture of running and growing a coffee business.
