Coffee Production & Roasting

We are excited to offer an entry level position in within our production team, with the opportunity to learn and progress toward production roasting. Speedwell Coffee is a specialty coffee roaster located in Plymouth, MA, and we are looking for an individual with a passion and interest in coffee, and an enthusiasm for learning. Prior experience in roasting is not required, however we prefer a candidate with work experience in the specialty coffee industry.

Candidate would join our production team, and participate in all aspects of our coffee production and order fulfillment.

Initial responsibilities would include:

• Packaging coffee
• Labeling bags
• Wholesale and Online Order fulfillment
• Communication with customers
• Intro to sample roasting

The responsibilities would then progress to include:

• Sample roasting
• QC Cupping and palette development
• Production roast shadowing
• Roast profile development
• Production roasting

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 150 pounds assisted
• Comfortably stand and walk for up to 9 hours in a day
• Have a valid Driver’s license and comfortable driving a delivery van.
• Have own reliable transportation
• Must wear attire that abides by Serv Safe requirements: close toed shoes, navel and armpits covered, long hair or beards tied back or restrained with a net.
