Quality Assurance Technician (Roast Plant) Position Summary:   Ensures green bean coffee products meet or exceed the highest standards of quality set by Kauai Coffee Company LLC by inspecting or manually testing products before, during, or after the manufacturing process. Position Summary:  Primary responsibility of the position is to ensure that the Roast Plant produces the highest quality of roasted coffee for Kauai Coffee’s distribution centers. Primary Functions:   Follow established guidelines, procedures, policies, practices and methods necessary to maximize coffee quality and food safety standards.  Operate production equipment including the roaster, grinder, flavor mixer and packaging machines to meet scheduling requirements by established work standards. Ensure all required documents and daily checklist related to equipment operation (required at the beginning, during and end of shift) are completed. Maintain accurate records of what types and amounts of coffee are used for daily production. We are seeking a partner to start up an innovative coffee processing and roasting company.  Ideal candidates will have experience as a commercial roastmaster, and be driven as an owner to establish and grow a brand that roasts and delivers the world’s best experimental coffees to aficionados around the globe.  It is not a requirement for the partner to bring cash or financing for equity, as the ownership framework includes mechanisms for equity to be gained through individual contributions (time, accomplishments, etc).  It is a requirement for the partner to bring energy, persistence and relentless innovation.  Experience with anaerobic processing is a plus.  We envision starting up a facility near Santa Cruz, California but may be flexible on location.  

Pax & Beneficia is a specialty coffee roastery with eight café locations across DFW. We roast clean, terroir-driven, expressive coffees. The Role You own the roast program. Production is supported — warehouse staff and a dedicated bagger are in place. Your focus is on the coffee.
