As Head Roaster you will be responsible for roasting coffees to Healthy Coffee Lifestyles quality standards, setting production schedules and maintaining the Roasters space. This position is responsible for production roasting, green coffee inventory management, and general tasks related to production workflow and roasters cleanliness. Good technical awareness of roasting machines, very comfortable troubleshooting and working with technical support to address equipment issues when needed being able to maintain roasters equipment, with working knowledge of all roasting systems, manual, mechanized and, electrical. Run production equipment and a clean area, manage green coffee inventory, quality control, other tasks and duties as assigned. It involves daily interactions with our production team and sales to support order fulfillment, delivery, and other needs for our wholesale and online customers.

Requirements: Passionate about coffee, 2+years of roasting experience, good organizational skills and attention to detail, an understanding of inventory management, ability to manage and prioritize daily and weekly task, good understanding in quick books including invoicing, flexible and adaptable to change, basic mechanical skill, able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and 150 lbs. with assistance.

This is a full-time hourly position. The hours of work are Monday – Friday with 8-hour shifts ranging between 5 a.m. – 8 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as a job duties demand.
