Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Director of Sales to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth across our portfolio of products. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership within the CPG sector, a deep understanding of the coffee industry, and the ability to develop and execute high-impact sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share. Analyze market trends and customer needs to develop innovative approaches.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales team. Set clear goals, provide ongoing coaching, and foster a collaborative and motivated work environment.
  • Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, distributors, and strategic accounts. Negotiate contracts and ensure the successful closing of sales agreements.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify new opportunities, assess competitive landscape, and stay ahead of industry trends. Leverage insights to drive strategic decisions.
  • Sales Forecasting: Develop and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics. Monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed to meet objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, operations, and trade marketing/sales administration teams to align sales initiatives with overall business goals and ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on sales performance, market conditions, and strategic initiatives. Prepare and present detailed reports and analyses.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of sales experience in the CPG industry, with a focus on coffee, beverage, or related products highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of leading successful sales teams and achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of the fast-moving consumer product market, consumer behavior, and industry trends. 
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with SAP a plus.
