Full time Roasting/Production Technician/Equipment Service Warehousing/Facilities

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Provide repairs to roastery facilities and equipment including electrical, mechanical plumbing, and electronic equipment
  • Use company systems to develop procedures to support preventive maintenance on all equipment and company assets; execute activities according to the maintenance schedule
  • Assist equipment operators to improve line efficiency
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Food Safety and GMP standards
  • Respond promptly to all service requests with a high level of proactivity, with an emphasis on skill development
  • Maintain communication and relationship with multiple third-party service providers
  • Assist with all essential facility matters and work directly with contractors
  • Ensure building is well maintained and issues are resolved quickly and efficiently
  • Manage small construction, building maintenance, and assembly projects
  • Assist with unloading and stocking merchandise in an efficient and orderly manner
  • In charge of waste management and efficiencies related to waste stream
  • Demonstrate and foster respectful and effective communication with teammates at all times
  • Assist Operations team as needed and perform other duties as assigned
  • Interact with cross-functional counterparts in other markets

 

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience maintaining, repairing, overhauling and troubleshooting  processing, packaging and material handling equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to accurately assess mechanical problems, make recommendations, communicate effectively and resolve issues quickly while working under pressure
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, make recommendations, draw conclusions and communicate effectively
  • Experience in industry best practice and ability to apply insights to develop and execute programs and process
  • Basic computer and technical writing skills
  • Experience with welding and machining and troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Must have a demonstrated history of safe work habits
  • Schedule flexibility

  • None

 

Physical Demands  

  • Carry weight, lift – frequently moves materials weighing up to 50 pounds.  Weight greater than 50 pounds can be mitigated with a lifting partner or device
  • Stooping—bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist
  • Repetitive motion using the hands, wrists and forearms
  • Standing in place for several hours at a table to operate or repair machinery

Work environment

  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment
  • The work environment can be noisy
  • Temperatures can be variable in the work area
